Let's talk about preservatives- they get a bad wrap. But in reality, we need them. They protect our products from going bad, and there are some pretty great natural preservatives out there. Linatural is a paraben-free preservative, meaning it will not release formaldehyde into a finished product like most paraben-based preservatives will. I think it highly important to learn about the different components in the products that we put on our skin. When I first started creating my own products, I had no clue what most of these words meant and just thought that any word I couldn't pronounce was inherently bad for me, but that is simply not the case. So, let's break it down: 

Linatural is a broad-spectrum preservative that is comprised of 3 components: 

Propanediol: Clear, Viscous liquid that is naturally derived from non-GMO corn. 

Ethylhexyl glycerin: Derived from glycerin. Acts as a preservative and as a skin conditioner

Potassium Sorbate: this is the potassium salt of sorbic acid, it is widely used in certified organic foods and products to inhibit the growth of mold.
